JKPC Won't Give 'Safe Passage' in Kupwara: Sajad Lone


Srinagar, Sep 16 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) Chief, Sajad Lone, has firmly denied giving in to external pressure regarding the Kupwara assembly segment. During a press conference, Lone emphasized that his party will not allow any form of "safe passage" for individuals in the region, despite pressure from unknown forces, whether governmental or non-governmental.

Lone stated that his party would stand strong against any intimidation attempts. He made it clear that these pressures, regardless of their origin, will not influence JKPC’s decisions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“They are wasting their time. We will not bow to pressure, and no one will get safe passage,” he asserted.

Lone also referenced past political mistakes in Kashmir, particularly the 1987 elections, urging both the central and local governments to avoid repeating such errors. He warned that similar actions could have negative consequences for the region.

He further criticized the involvement of multiple agencies in Kashmir, suggesting that the situation is becoming unclear and mismanaged, while calling for more transparency and fairness moving forward.(KNS)
