JKP’s Border Battalion, CISF/BSF aspirants delegation call on Ghulam Hassan Mir

JAMMU, MARCH 12:(KNS)    A delegation of JKP Border Battalion and CISF/BSF aspirants today called on Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir at Gandhi Nagar Office in Jammu.

The delegation of the JKP Border Battalion aspirants demanded that the Govt should fulfill the promises made with them and complete the pending recruitment process as early as possible as per the advertised JKP Recruitment Board in 2019.

They informed the Apni Party’s Senior Leader that they appeared in the physical and medical tests. However, the authorities concerned re-advertised posts for recruitment of Head Constables in the Border Battalion and this re-advertisement of posts should be withdrawn, they demanded.

They said that their pending written test of the already qualified candidates should be conducted.

The delegation also informed the Apni Party leader that a notification for the recruitment of 1, 356 constables in BSF and CISF was issued in 2018. However, when the demand to increase the number of recruitment posts was raised, they were assured that 2000 posts would be added.

“But the final selection list of candidates had only 1356 candidates in February 2021 which exposed that the assurance given to the aspirants was not fulfilled,” the deputation claimed.

After listening to their genuine demands, Ghulam Hassan Mir assured the delegation of the Border Battalion, and CISF/BSF aspirants that their demands would be projected before the concerned authorities and Apni Party extended its full support to them.

He said that the Govt should consider their demand and hold the written test of the already qualified Border Battalion aspirants without further delaying the recruitment process.

He said that the unemployment ratio is the highest ever in J&K and the Govt must not put these young people in trouble.

“If the issue is delayed, many of the selected candidates who have cleared the above said two tests would become overaged. Therefore, it becomes important for the Govt to take a final decision on the demands of the Border Battalion aspirants,” he said.

At the time of meeting the delegation of Border Battalion aspirants, Mir was accompanied by Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh, Provincial Vice President Jammu Ex-MLA Faqir Nath, President, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta, Provincial Joint Secretary, Kulwant Singh, senior leader Arun Chibber, State General Secretary Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya, Provincial President Youth Wing, Vipul Bali, Provincial Vice President Joginder Singh, District President Youth Wing, Shivam Choudhary, Abhinav Gupta and others.(KNS)
