JKCA Controversy: Being unnecessarily dragged into controversy for zero tolerance towards corruption, Says Brig Anil Gupta

Srinagar, Aug 26 (KNS): The member administration of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Brigadier Anil Gupta has said that he was being unnecessarily dragged into a controversy because of no-nonsense approach and zero tolerance towards corruption.

Gupta told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that he was unnecessarily  being dragged into a controversy.

“My name is being maligned. I being Member Administration sign all correspondence on behalf of JKCA. It is an official correspondence and not personal. Just because I have signed the letter on behalf of JKCA it is being accused that I want to harm so and so,” he said.

Gupta said that he has no personal involvement in such issues at all. “Yes, we want to bring accountability and discipline in cricketers in JK,” he added.

He further said that the mail exchanged between him and Majid Dar does not have Parvez as addressee, so from where has he got the mail. “Definitely it is handiwork of those who do not want JKCA to be reformed because they are scared of the skeletons in the cupboard.”

He said that he was being targeted because of his no nonsense approach and zero tolerance for corruption. “Can a player become bigger than JKCA?” Gupta asked. (KNS)
