JKAP activists hold Protest in Jammu, demanding resumption of darbar move

Srinagar, Sep 01(KNS): Activists of Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on wednesday staged a protest demonstration deamnding resumption of ''darbar move'', an age old practice of shifting of offices between the twin capital cities of Srinagar and Jammu.

Witnesses told Kashmir News service (KNS), that activists Led by Apni trade Union president Ajaz Kazmi, ssembled near Press Club jammu and staged a sit-in to press for the resumption of ''darbar move'' 

Ajaz Kazmi said that they are holding the protest against the government decision to stop the age-old practice of darbar move. "We impress upon the government to review its decision in the best interest of the people," he said. 

He also said that the business has affected Badly in Jammu following after the government announced Darbar move ending decision. 

The protesters later tried to march towards the city but were stopped by police while several  activists were detained after they tried to take out a rally. (KNS).
