Srinagar, Sep 26 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Board headed by Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam on Saturday asked government to provide security to their office in view of the threats received by them.
According to Kashmir News Serivce, Chief spokesman of Muslim Personal Board in a statement said that already the situation is vulnerable and there were threats of life in the past as well, but the Government is not serious about providing security to them.
“In such a situation, the government should provide adequate security to the office,” he said, adding that they have received threats in the recent past as well.
He added that only one pso has been deployed for the security of VIP and the office . “Nearly 200 to 300 people are visiting our office on each passing day and it won’t be possible to identify the persons who visit the office with mala fide intentions, thus the government should provide adequate security in the office to ensure safety of VIP and the people there," it reads.
Taking to KNS, Islam said that they are receiving threats from various quarters.(KNS)
