Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNS): JK Editors Forum has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran Senior journalist and Chief Editor daily Srinagar News, Mehraj-ud-Din Wani.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of president Editors Forum, Mohammad Aslam Bhat in the office of Daily Global Post in Srinagar.

“In the meeting the members in one voice paid rich tributes to the departed soul. His services rendered in the field of journalism during last over half a century was acknowledged in high spirits. His dedication with the work was appreciated. The participants offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul,” reads the statement.

It reads that meanwhile, a deputation led by Chief spokesperson, JK Editors Forum, Rasheed Rahil (Asian Mail) visited the residence of Mohammad Iqbal Wani soon after praying nimazi jinaza to the departed soul and conveyed heart felt condolances on behalf of the JK Editors Forum. (KNS)
