Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gears up for its mega National Council meeting on February 17 and 18 in New Delhi, drawing 200 to 300 party leaders, from Jammu and Kashmir, along with top functionaries.
 
The forthcoming gathering follows the BJP's National Executive meeting on February 16, where the party's meticulously crafted strategy for the Lok Sabha elections is set to take center stage.
 
Preceding the National Council meeting, the BJP has slated its National Executive assembly for February 16, drawing representation from Jammu and Kashmir.
 
Among the prominent figures attending are BJP UT chief Ravinder Raina, general secretary (organizations) Ashok Koul, and national secretary Narinder Singh, a stalwart from Jammu.
 
Further enriching the discussions will be the presence of BJP general secretary (Incharge Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh) Tarun Chugh.
 
News agency KNS reported that the crux of these meetings will revolve around shaping the BJP's electoral strategy, particularly for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
 
Ambitious targets are set, with the BJP aiming to secure over 400 Lok Sabha seats and garner more than 51 percent of the votes in the impending April-May elections.

While expressing confidence in securing the Jammu and Udhampur seats for a third consecutive term, the party is actively focusing on capturing the Anantnag-Poonch-Rajouri (APR) seat.
 
The anticipated announcement by the Central Government granting Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for Paharis, a substantial population in the constituency, adds a nuanced layer to the BJP's strategic vision in the region.
 
As the BJP intensifies its preparations, the party's resolute objective is to establish a formidable presence in the Lok Sabha elections.
 
The emphasis lies on winning the trust and support of voters in Jammu and Kashmir, as the party navigates through the intricacies of electoral dynamics in the region.
 
The National Council meeting, along with the strategic deliberations, unfolds as a pivotal chapter in the BJP's journey towards a compelling and impactful electoral campaign.
The National Council meeting is expected to witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and other prominent leaders.
Sources told KNS that the BJP National President JP Nadda will inaugurate the event, and it will feature addresses from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other dignitaries.(KNS)
