Srinagar May 26 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) Vice President Javid Mustafa Mir on Thursday expressed his deep sense of grief over the killing of TV artist Amreen Bhat, who was shot dead by terrorists yesterday evening near her residence in Chadoora area of central Kashmir's Budgam district. Her 10-year-old nephew also got a bullet injury in his arm during the attack.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mir expressed his sorrow over the killing of the lady and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.

He said, “No words can be enough to condemn the killing of a woman and injuring a child. This is undoubtedly an inhuman act of violence, which should be condemned by one and all in the strongest possible terms.”
He added, “Unfortunately, the killing spree of innocent people seems to have no ending in Kashmir. Such killings do not help anyone, rather they increase the suffering of the people who have been grappling with the worst forms of violence over the past more than three decades. This mindless violence should end, and the perpetrators of these killings should be nabbed to ensure they face the justice system.”

Mir prayed for the deceased lady and the speedy recovery of her nephew. He asked people to raise their voices against the killings of innocent people.(KNS)
