J&K Students Association Organisational Elections to be held on 17th January

Election Commission holds meet

Srinagar 11 january (KNS): The J&K Students Association will hold its organisational elections on 17th of January, according to the functionaries of the organization aware of the development. The polls are held after every two years. In this regard, the three member election commission of the J&K Students Association headed by Chief Returning Officer and Convenor of Organization Mustafezul rehman, met here on today to discuss the issues related to upcoming elections.

In a statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service (KNS), It has been decided that the dates for the nominations have been extended up to January 15th till 6pm, the nominations can be withdrawn up to January 16th by 6 pm and the elections for Six top posts will be held on January 17th from 10 am up to 6 pm. The Nominations will be scrutinized by the election sub committee and based on the eligibility and suitability. The election will be conducted by electronic mode. We have a democratic system, where elections are held from the Secretary to President’s level,’ an official hand out said (KNS).
