Vaccination drive will start from Sunday at ten designated places in Srinagar

Srinagar  May 1 (KNS): The first consignment of COVAXIN COVID-19 vaccines arrived in the Union Territory ahead of the roll-out of the Vaccination drive for 18-45 age group on Saturday.

Both the divisions of Jammu and Kashmir received 75000 doses each. These vaccines would be administered in Jammu and Srinagar districts as the beginning of the third vaccination drive.

State immunisation officer, Dr Shahid informed Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that these vaccines would be given to the people of the 18-45 age group at ten designated sites in Srinagar. 

"Ten session sites in Srinagar district have been designated as of now to begin the third vaccination drive for the people of 18-45 age group. The Launching Ceremony in Srinagar held at immunisation clinic near SMHS in Srinagar at 4:00 PM today", he added.

He also said that only the inaugural vaccine will be administered today while as the drive will get started tomorrow and added that only those above 18 years of age will get their Covaxin jab who have pre-registered themselves.(KNS)
