MD NHM says recent awards have been extremely encouraging

Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir has been awarded for achieving operationalisation target number of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres during the celebration of UHC Day 2022 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. 

Universal Health Coverage Day is being celebrated every year to commemorate the significance of Universal Health Coverage which aims to ensure quality healthcare closer to the people without any financial hardship. 

The event was graced by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and union minister of Health Mansukh  Mandaviya and health ministers of various states and UTs.

According to a reports under the leadership of secretary health Bhupinder Kumar, J&K has successfully achieved the target of operationalising of 2742  AB-HWCs.

On behalf of J&K Dr Mohd Shafi Koka, state nodal officer NHM/Programme Manager, CPHC,NHM J&K received the award.

Meanwhile, MD NHM Ayushi Sudan told KNS that the recent awards have been extremely encouraging and it is all due to the continuous and persistent efforts of the field cadres that they have been able to achieve this. 

She said these awards are for the collective efforts of all the health care workers of Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, J&K got first prize for generating highest number of Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs and also got second prize for tele-consulations. (KNS)
