J&K, Ladakh Youth Are "Co-Creators of Viksit Bharat" : Dr Jitendra Singh

 New Delhi, Jan 11 (KNS): Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on Sunday described India's youth as active "stakeholders and co-creators" in the nation's journey to become a developed country by 2047, moving beyond the role of mere beneficiaries.

 
His remarks came during an informal interaction with youth delegations from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, who are in the capital for the 'Viksit Bharat Young Leaders' Dialogue 2026'. 
 
Dr. Singh as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the critical role of national integration, stating that young people from these regions are instrumental in strengthening the country's social and cultural fabric.
 
He encouraged the 83 delegates—52 from Jammu & Kashmir and 31 from Ladakh—to engage with peers from across India, appreciate the nation's diversity, and showcase youth-led solutions in innovation, governance, and social development.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
"You will distinguish yourselves as representatives of your regions and return as ambassadors of positive change," Dr. Singh as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said, linking their participation to the spirit of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, Great India).
 
The Minister interacted with each delegate, inquiring about their backgrounds and aspirations for the festival's 'Viksit Bharat Challenge Track' and 'Cultural and Innovation Track'. He urged them to leverage the national platform, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under its 'MY Bharat' initiative, to its fullest potential. (KNS)
