UT participates as Partner State; showcases emerging destinations, Kashmir Marathon, seasonal tourism

Hyderabad, Oct 11 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has won the ‘Best Decoration Award’ at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Hyderabad 2026, where the Union Territory is participating as the Partner State to promote its tourism destinations and attract visitors from southern India.

The award was presented in recognition of the design and presentation of the department's pavilion at the three-day tourism fair, which brought together tourism stakeholders and representatives from different regions.

The event was inaugurated by Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao in the presence of Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who attended as the guest of honour.

At the fair, the J&K Tourism Department showcased the Union Territory's scenic landscapes, cultural heritage, pilgrimage destinations and emerging tourist locations through a specially designed pavilion.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The department also highlighted the forthcoming Kashmir Marathon, winter and spring tourism experiences, and customised travel packages aimed at attracting visitors during different seasons.

Jammu and Kashmir's participation as the Partner State is intended to strengthen tourism connections with southern India, particularly Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and expand the region's reach among prospective travellers and tour operators.

The award specifically recognises the decoration and presentation of the J&K pavilion at the fair. (KNS)
