Ganderbal December 27 (KNS) : Senior Political Leader and Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Tuesday visited Barsoo Ganderbal. During the visit locals raise their demands and apprised the former MLA of various issues.
Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar inspected the playfield which is almost complete and said that he will take up the issue with the concerned for further funding for this playfield. He said that the work on the playfield was started during his tenure as MLA. He also visited the site of the new industrial area and demanded that the locals should be given priorty for setting up the units in the new industrial area. He further said that the locals have donated their land for establishment of Industrial Area as the site was the grazing land for their cattles and sheep.
On the occasion locals expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Former MLA, DDC Chairperson Ganderbal and district administration for fullfilling the long pending demand but at the same the locals demand that the road leading to Industrial Area should not affect the playfield.
Mr Jabbar assured them that all issues within his competence will be redressed as early as possible whereas the other all genuine demands will be taken up at appropriate forums for their resolution. (KNS)
