Srinagar, Jun 21 (KNS): Leading the 8th International Yoga Day celebrations, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha along with Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Kapil Patil on Tuesday performed Yoga at an event on the banks of the Dal Lake at SKICC in Srinagar.
 
LG Sinha in a tweet while extending greetings on International Day of Yoga urged all to embrace Yoga as an integral part of life for holistic approach to health & well-being.
 
“Greetings on International Day of Yoga. Participated in Yoga Day 2022 along with Hon'ble Union MoS Shri Kapil Patil and hundreds of people at Dal Lake in Srinagar. I urged all to embrace Yoga as an integral part of life for holistic approach to health & well-being,” office of LG J&K tweeted.
 
Chief Secretary A K Mehta and Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Junaid Mattu were among others who participated in the event.
 
In another tweet LG said the theme for this year emphasizes the message of universal brotherhood in trying times.
 
“#YogaForHumanity theme for this year emphasizes the message of universal brotherhood in trying times. This invaluable gift to humanity is being used as a therapeutic intervention for various disorders & bringing equilibrium of body, mind and intellect.” (KNS)
