Srinagar December 11 (KNS): Today on the occasion of international mountain day 2023 an impressive event was organised by the directorate of tourism, Kashmir, at tourist reception centre, Srinagar.

Secretary to the government Department of tourism and culture. Dr Syed Abid Rashid was the chief guest besides Director tourism Kashmir,  senior officials from the department of tourism,  representatives of various travel trade organisations, and Adventurers from different  clubs and associations were present.

Number of presentations were made on this year’s theme for the event i.e restoring mountain ecosystems. Speakers highlighted the need for sustainable and responsible tourism. In collaboration with S IDBI two new projects on homestay entrepreneurship and Paragliding training were inaugurated in addition maps for 30 new offbeat, trekking routes were unveiled.

 Many associations and individuals with exemplary achievements in the field of adventure. Tourism were also felicitated.(KNS)
