Intermittent rain likely to continue in J&K till April 22: Weatherman

Srinagar, April 19 (KNS): The Meteorological Department in Srinagar on Wednesday said that intermittent light to moderate rain is very likely to continue in the entire Jammu and Kashmir.

However, the MeT department said that there is an expectation of a gradual decrease in rainfall from tonight onwards. "On the 21st and 22nd of April, scattered places in J&K are likely to experience rain or thundershowers," it said.

It has predicted an overall improvement in the weather conditions from the 23rd of April onwards.

Meanwhile, the people of the valley were forced to brave heavy rain this morning as they ventured out to buy gifts and other essentials ahead of Eid-ul-fitr. The unpredictable weather conditions have put a damper on the festive atmosphere, with many shopkeepers reporting a decrease in footfall.(KNS)
