Kupwara May 06:(KNS)  Hail Storm wreaked havoc in several villages of Langate, Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, causing damage to apple orchards and walnut trees

The hailstorm on Thursday afternoon caused extensive damage to orchards and walnut trees in many villages of Langate including, Mawer, Qaziabad, Shatgund, Shanoo, Muqam, Rengpath, Ashpora and Renan

The hailstorm which continued for several minutes damaged crops and walnut trees as well, causing huge damage to the farmers and growers.

DDC Mawer Khursheed Ah Dar urged the horticulture department to initiate a visit to the affected areas and compensate the affected. 

Meanwhile, the farmers and growers appealed to the government to provide compensation to them.(KNS)
