Srinagar, October 27 (KNS): Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday reiterated that resolution passed in 1994 in the Parliament about Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK) will be firmly executed and the country is committed on it. He asserted the UT of Jammu and Kashmir has seen a new dawn of peace, prosperity and development post abrogation of Article 370.

The Union Defense Minister made these remarks while addressing the Infantry Day function in Srinagar here. He reiterated that country is committed to implement resolutions passed in 1994 in Indian Parliament that the neighbouring country Pakistan has illegally the other side of J&K which has to be retrieved back.

"India is firm in its commitment that PoK will be retrieved back", the Defense Minister reiterated and alleged, "The population of PoK is suffering badly at the hands of other side of government which should have been a prime concern for us".

"India feels the pain of every citizen of PoK where torture and harrasment are usual affairs. Pakistan is sowing seeds of hatred in there but the time is not far when people will start rebellion there", he said.

He also said India is committed to implement the resolution passed in the Parliament about retrieving Kashmir which is under illegal occupation of Pakistan. He further said that people of PoK are being deprived of all basic facilities and India is fully aware of it.

The Defense Minister Rajnath Singh added that dream of Sardar Valabhai Patel will be fulfilled when all refugees of 1947 will get their rights back. 

In his address, the Union Defense Minister said the J&K is witnessing massive development in all fields post abrogation of Article 370. "Before rolling back Article 370, Kashmiri society was divided into bits, but post August 5, 2019, all sections of the society are collectively marching towards peace, prosperity, success and development", he added.
