Include Tribal Schools in Samagra Shiksha Program, Kadfeen urges JK Govt

Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has censured government over leaving Tribal schools in absolute disarray amid the Corona Virus pandemic, stating that the online classes for tribal children is a mirage and an unapproachable facility.
He said in a statement issued to KNS that while the government has initiated a slew of measures under its Samagra Shiksha Program to facilitate students in Jammu and Kashmir to access education through technological interventions in wake of COVID 19 lockdown, no such efforts are visible in the schools meant for the students of tribal community.
He added that while these children have been left in lurch by those at the helm, it was ironic to find how the government is not even making least efforts to provide any assistance to the Tribal students whose education has been severely hit due to the pandemic.
Kadfeen said that like other normal schools where the government claims to have been providing students access to education through technological interventions like E- Classes, the tribal schools too should be equipped with the latest infrastructure.
He maintained that the Tribal Children in spite of facing tough ordeals have been striving for quality education and that the government is duty bound to provide them all necessary assistance to excel and achieve new heights. (KNS)
