Srinagar, Jun 22 (KNS): In view of the incessant rainfall, administration in Kulgam district has set up an emergency helpline numbers to avoid any untoward incident.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Bilal Bhat told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they are keeping a close vigil on the situation and teams have been deputed on ground to assess the situation.
He said that there was a breach in Nallah at Chamgund in the district and rescue operation was already started last evening, while people from low lying areas were being shifted to safer places.
He added that situation was under control so far and urged the people to stay away from vulnerable spots. "Priority is to save human lives first and in case of nay emergency, people can contact our nearest helpline centre for early redressal,” he said. (KNS)
