Inam Un Nabi elated over transporters calling off their planned strike

 

Srinagar, Feb 23 :(KNS)   Noted Social activist Inam Un  Nabi has expressed gratitude and pleasure over the fact that transporters are not going ahead with their planned strike tomorrow .

Pertinent to mention that the Transport unions have  decided call off indefinite strike beginning tomorrow after holding talks with representatives of the goverment of Jammu and Kashmir.

Inam Un Nabi lauded the dynamism shown by the Honourable Leituant Governor Manoj Sinha and Incharge Divisional Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudary in getting this stormy issue resolved .

Inam had yesterday in a statement requested transporters not to go ahead with their strike so as to avoid further losses to them and discomfort to the public .

 Inam had also urged Government of Jammu and Kashmir to give immediate attention to the various issues faced by the transport community of Jammu and Kashmir.

He took to  microblogging website Twitter and tweeted :
Humbled by the cooperation by large hearted transporter community and cooperative administration.Thankyou all Tourist Taxi Transporters Welfare Federation & Kashmir Tourist Taxi Maxi Cab Transporters Federation besides Kashmir Auto Rikhshaw Drivers Association & allied for responding my request for not going with the transport strike to avoid public inconvenience. Thankyou JK Govt for responding the demands of transporters during a meeting held with @listenshahid.
