Srinagar, Jan 09 (KNS): Noted Socio-Political Activist Imran Amin Shah on Sunday thanked LG Administration in general and Anantnag district administration in particular for promptly responding to the situation developed in Kashmir due to heavy snowfall. 

Shah thanked LG Shri Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Shri Arun Mehta (IAS) and his team of officers for working day and night to restore all basic facilities particularly road connectivity and electricity. 

Shah also thanked Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla (IAS) for activating men and machinery to ease sufferings of populace of the district. 

"This is happening for the first time that the Administration in Jammu and Kashmir under the supervision of LG Manoj Sinha performed upto the expectations of general public. Roads were cleared even during night hours," Shah said. 

He also thanked LG Administration for putting high performing snow cutters into use at different locations in South Kashmir. 

He also thanked officials and ground staff of Mechanical Engineering Department for timely clearing snowbound roads and restoring connectivity. 

Shah also thanked daily wagers of KPDCL, MED, ULB Kashmir for putting their lives at risk and working round the clock for restoring basic facilities to the people of Kashmir Valley. He demanded regularization of these daily wagers and requested LG Manoj Sinha to recognize the efforts of these men on upcoming Republic Day. (KNS)
