Handwara , Feb 28 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that it has seized an illicit timber in the Handwara area of northern Kashmir's Kupwara district.
The Police said that on February 28, 2023, PS Kralgund followed an information regarding illicit timber lying in the premises of one person identified as Jahangir Ahmad Rather son of Bashir Ahmad of Rather Mohalla Ananwan.
Soon after the information was received, the police said that a police party was deputed and subsequently 39 numbers of illicit timber logs were recovered.
The timber as per police was seized and a case FIR No.13/2023 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF Act has been registered at PS Kralgund and investigation initiated.(KNS).
