IGP chairs security preparation meeting in Anantnag for Amarnath Yatra

Srinagar, May 20 (KNS): IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Friday visited south Kashmir to chair a meeting at Anantnag in connection with security preparation for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), DIG South Kashmir Range Ab Jabbar, SSP Anantnag, Kulgam and Awantipora participated in the meeting.

The statement reads that different types of threats specially threat of drone attack and sticky bombs to Yatri convoy and security forces and appropriate security responses were discussed in detail.

It added that more focus was given on generating specific intelligence and conducting anti-terrorist operations on all yatra routes.

As per the statement, SSP Anantnag presented a detailed power point presentation regarding the same. (KNS)
