IG BSF Kashmir inaugurates Medical Camp, organized by BSF in collaboration DH Handwar in Kupwara

 

Kupwara June 01 (KNS)  A free Medical Camp was organised under Civic Action programme by 57 Bn Bsf in collaboration with district hospital Handwara at village Budnambol (Shaka), Dist – Kupwara.

The programme was inaugurated by Raja Babu Singh, IPS, IG FTR HQ BSF Kashmir. A K Vidyarthi, DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara, Surendra Mishra, Commandant 57 Battalion BSF,  Col Rakesh Yadav, SM and other officials/troops of 57 Battallion BSF were present during the occasion.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), During the programme, 550 dwellers of village Shaka and surrounding areas have been treated and given medicines by a team of BSF and civil doctors of district Hospital, Handwara, i.e. Dr, Narender PR Kohli CMO (SG) SHQ BSF Kupwara, Dr Pradeep Kumar AC/MO, 57 Battalion BSF, Dr Aijaz Ahmad Bhat General Physician (Deupty Medical Supriendient ) and five other civil specialist doctors (including one female doctor and a dental surgeon).

Besides, Raja Babu Singh, IPS IG FTR HQ Kashmir also distributed sports items, stationary and other miscellaneous stores for the benefit of the students and school of Saka. Raja Babu Singh, IPS IG FTR HQ BSF Kashmir also interacted with the students, teachers and local population of village Budnambol (Saka) and assured them that Government of India is standing with them for their security and Border Security Force shall assist and strive for the peace and development in this remote village.

  Troops of 57 Battalion, BSF also showcased their weapons, armaments and displayed videos and photographs of Battalion BSF, in service of Nation and people staying in remote areas and motivated students to prepare for joining BSF in the service of Nation and mankind.

 In the recent past, 57 Battalion BSF had also constructed a shelter for welfare of the civilians at Baramulla- Kupwara National Highway, near Chowgul Chowk, Kulangam, Handwara. BSF is also promoting Yoga amongst local population for their better health in view of the forthcoming International Day of Yoga.

BSF is widely known for its contribution, valour and sacrifices made and it is playing commendable role in bringing the remote villagers at LOC into the national mainstream.(KNS)
