Langate, Mar 15 (KNS): Department of Social welfare Lanagte on Tuesday asked health department to vacate their building where they were operating a sub-centre in Kultora village of Langate

 

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS), said that due to lack of accommodation, health department Langate with the help of PRIs had urged ICDS department to provide temporary accommodation for health centre till they get their own building.

 

They said that, however, on Tuesday ICDS department asked health employees to vacate the building immediately. 

 

An official of ICDS said that during Covid-19 last year they came to them for providing temporary accommodation, but till now, they didn’t vacate the building as it was causing them (ICDS) trouble to carry their own daily routine work. 

 

He said that they have asked them to look for alternate arrangement and vacate their building.

 

Meanwhile, a health official posted in sub centre said that they were operating in rented accommodation, but the owner dismantled the building and with the help of a local Sarpanch they were asked to operate in nearby ICDS centre. “But now they are asking us to vacate the building,” she said.

 

When contacted BMO Langate, he said that he has no information about the same and he will look into the matter. (KNS)
