I hope elections are held in J&K by April 2023: BJP's Sunil Sharma

Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNS): General secretary and incharge Kashmir division of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sunil Sharma on Tuesday hoped that the elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir by April 2023.


Speaking exclusively to the Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said that there's autonomous body that will decide the elections in Jammu and Kashmir. "The BJP party is always ready whenever elections will be conducted here," he said. He however hoped that elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held by April 2023.

He also said Home Minister Amit Shah who is visiting J&K on first week of October is likely to make an announcement for the Pahari community, granting them a special status in the state.

 "In this regard the senior BJP leader said that he met with Gujjar and Pahari community leaders , representatives who have been demanding special status for the long time. I assured them all possible help,"  Sharma added.(KNS)
