House of Al-Umer chief Mushtaq Latram attached by NIA in Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 2 (KNS): National Investigation Agency on Thursday attached the house of Al-Umar Chief Mushtaq Zargar alias Mushtaq Latram in Gani Mohalla area of Nowhatta in Srinagar district.


Zargar, presently in Pakistan was designated as terrorist under the UAPA by the Ministry of Home Affairs. 

An official said NIA team assisted by local police and CRPF attached the property of Mushtaq Ahmad in Nowhatta area today morning.

Zargar was arrested on 15 May 1992 and later released in 1999, along with Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar and Sheikh Omar. 

They were released in exchange of passengers hijacked along with Indian Airlines plane in 1999. (KNS)
