Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): Hours after killing of a top militant commander of LeT, another encounter broke out in Shalimar area of Srinagar on Monday evening, police said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that encounter started in Gasu locality of Shalimar today evening soon after the killing of top militant commander, Salim Parray.

He said that police and CRPF were on job and further details will be shared accordingly.

Notably, earlier in the day, a top militant commander of LeT, Salim Parray from Hajin locality of Bandipora was killed in a brief shootout in Shalimar area. (KNS)
