Budgam, Mar 16 (KNS): Former Chief Minister J&K Omar Abdullah on Thursday said he is hopeful that All Party delegation led by Dr. Farooq Abdullah will get justice for J&K after meeting with Election Commissioner of India in New Delhi.

"The AP delegation will ask ECI why elections were not held in Jammu and Kashmir for last five years. This is the longest ever gap when polls were put on hold. I hope this delegation will get justice after meeting ECI in New Delhi," former CM Omar Abdullah as per KNS said while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of workers convention in central Kashmir’s Budgam.

While hitting hard to proxies of BJP, the former CM said we are not like those who hatch conspiracies behind the curtains against the wishes and aspirations of people of J&K. "We oppose BJP openly. We don't want BJPs government in J&K. It is our democratic right to oppose them and we are doing it," he said.

To a query, the former chief minister said it is good that JKSSB exams have been deferred as aspirants had expressed their concern over an agency which was already blacklisted in other parts of the country. "It is welcomed that good sense prevailed. But the question is what was the compulsion in bringing APTECH Ltd. namely agency in J&K. Had government made any advertisement in this regard. There are brazen misappropriation which however should be investigated thoroughly," he said. (KNS)
