Kupwara, June 25 (KNS): The security forces on Friday claimed to have foiled a major infiltration bide along the Line of Control in Tangdhar sector pf North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

 

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Kupwara police along with Army’s 7 RR Unit and 87 Battalion of BSF foiled the infiltration bid and recovered arms, ammunition and drugs worth crores at LoC in Tangdhar.

 

He said that heroin, having market value of around Rs 30 crore was recovered during the operation.

 

Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone police in a Tweet said: “Kupwara Police alongwith 7RR and 87Bn BSF foiled #infiltration bid at #Tangdhar area. Recovered #arms , ammunitions & #drugs left behind by the infiltrators including 01 AK47, 01 Pistol, 02 grenades & other ammunition & 06 packets of #Heroin (market value approx Rs 30 Crs).” (KNS)
