Hardships, harassments will never weaken the resolve of PAGD: Tarigami

Jammu, Nov 09 (KNS): CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday avowed that hardships and harassments will never weaken the resolve of PAGD to carry forward its fight for restoration of Article 370.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Tarigami said that few people tried to push us back to Kashmir through their hooliganism outlook but whatever the hardships will come in our way, will not deter us from taking the fight for restoration of Article 370 forward.
“Hardships and harassments will never weaken the resolve of PAGD to carry forward its fight for restoration of Article 370 to its logical conclusion”, Tarigami said.
He said earlier we were not allowed to visit Jammu as many of us were imprisoned in jails and houses. “Now we came here and met all shades of life. We want to clear here that the opinion of Jammu emerged during meetings with people will be positively taken into confidence”, former MLA Kulgam said.
When asked what PAGD will sell during DDC elections in public, the CPI(M) leader said that DDC elections are not a big issue for us.
“Today our issue is to protect rights and identity of J&K snatched by BJP Government in August 5, 2019. We were assured that special status of J&K will not be tinkered with but what happened later on is a betrayal with people of J&K in broad-day light”, he said.
“We have no hope upon central government. They have cheated us in broad day light. They had put our heads down which is unfortunate”, he said.
Terming the decisions taken on August 5, 2019 “unforgettable”, Tarigami said, “The PAGD is committed to carry forward its fight for restoration of Article 370. We will not allow anybody to disturb or weaken the movement. We are committed to forward our agenda to come what may”, Tarigami avowed.
He maintained that PAGD will visit other district headquarters of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh once DDC polls are over. “Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are our home. We will visit every place to get the confidence of people”, he said.
Hitting hard to those naming PAGD a handiwork of Pakistan, the CPI (M) leader said, “Those days have gone when there were feudal system in place. Jammu is not anyone’s personal property. We can visit anytime here. It is our right and duty to be concerned over hardships being faced by people, be it from Jammu, Kashmir or Ladakh. (KNS)
