Handwara, Feb 18 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday said that it seized illicit timber logs in the Qalamabad area of Handwara in northern Kashmir.
"During intervening night of 17/18 Feb 2023, PS Qalamabad following an information regarding illicit timber lying in the premises of one person named Amir Aziz Sheikh S/O Ab Aziz R/O Yahama, deputed a police party and recovered 50 numbers of illicit timber logs," the police said in a statement.
It further said that the timber was seized and a case FIR No.09/2023 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF Act has been registered at PS Qalamabad and investigation initiated.(KNS).
