Hakeem Yaseen appeals to affluents, masjid committees to help to overcome oxygen, medicine shortage in Covid hospitals

Srinagar April 25 (KNS): In a bid to help the administration to control the fast-spreading 2nd wave of dreaded Covid-19 infection, Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Haseen has made a fervent appeal to the affluent class of the society and various Masjid Committees to arrange oxygen cylinders and related life-saving drugs for seriously infected Covid -19 patients in their respective vicinities.

As per the statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), he has also appealed to the general public to adopt Covid -19  SOPs strictly to contain the prevailing 2nd wave of the dreaded Covid- 19 infection, which has put an unprecedented workload on hospitals, doctors and paramedics. 
Under the prevailing condition, when disturbing reports about the scarcity of oxygen supply and non-availability of relevant Covid- treatment drugs in hospitals are pouring in unabated, people have to join hands to fight the pandemic collectively, " Hakeem Yaseen said in a statement issued on Sunday. He has urged the head preachers and Imams of mosques to persuade masses to get themselves vaccinated against the dreaded Covid infection as early as possible adding that medical experts have time and again assured about its efficacy.
" The prevailing 2nd Covid-19 wave could have been kept under check if Central government would have banned the holding of some religious and election-related public gatherings in various parts of the country, ' Hakeem Yaseen observed adding that Analysts and medical experts have termed these public gatherings as the main super spreader of the deadliest  2nd wave of Coronavirus across the country.
PDF Chairman has also welcomed the statement of Grand Mufti of Kashmir that "  every masjid committee must keep oxygen cylinders available in every locality to meet any exigency and help the patient who needs it. He has also urged the people to follow Covid-19 SoPs in letter and spirit and also to make special prayer to seek refuge from the Covid pandemic.
Hakeem Yaseen has also appealed to people not to go panicky and get themselves vaccinated against Covid-19 infections as early as possible adding that medical experts have declared it very safe and effective to deal with the disease. He said medical experts have candidly assured that t there was no fear of death due to covid infection if treated on time.(KNS)
