Hakeem expresses grief over Moulana Sham-ud-Din’s demise

Srinagar, Nov 13 (KNS): Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&KPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen expressed his sorrow and grief over the death of famous religious scholar Peer Shams-ud-Din from Lolab Kupwara and stated that he was a man of principles and devoted his whole life to serve the society.

In a statement issued here, Hakeem said such people are biggest assets of society and their contribution cannot be replaced by anyone. Shams Sahab was the epitome of spirituality, humility, and benevolence. His penchant for Islamic teachings and commitment to the mission of Sufis will be remembered for the times to come.

Hakeem while expressing grief said, "My thoughts and sympathies are with the grief-stricken family. I pray for peace to the soul of departed and strength to the grieved family," he said adding, "Moulana's death has created a void in the literary circles of Kashmir.

He said death is a harsh reality and we all have to accept it. He devoted his entire life to the cause of Islam and educated thousands in the Valley.

Hakeem prayed for the departed soul and stated that Peer Sahab will be always remembered for his contribution to society and spiritual guidance. (KNS)
