Srinagar, Dec 25 (KNS): An encounter has started in Tral area of Awantipora in Pulwama district between security forces and militants today evening, police said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that encounter broke out in Hardumir area of Tral, following inputs about the presence of militants.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said that police and security forces were on the job, while further details will be shared accordingly.

Notably, this is the second encounter in a day in South Kashmir as earlier today two militants were killed in an encounter in Chowgam village of Shopian district. (KNS)
