Ground situation contrary to Good governance report released by HM Amit Shah: ANC

If militancy related incidents on decline, record number of tourists arriving in Kashmir, what stops you from restoring Statehood as assured in Parliament: Muzzafar Shah

If militancy related incidents on decline, record number of tourists arriving in Kashmir, what stops you from restoring Statehood as assured in Parliament: Muzzafar Shah

Srinagar, Jan 23:(KNS)  Stating that the security situation has improved with militancy down by 40%, killings down by 50% & Kashmir witnessing heavy tourist footfalls even during winter months, then it is high time that the Statehood is restored back to the people of J&K as promised on the floor of Parliament by Home Minister Amit Shah. The situation is normal as per your figures then what stops you from living up to your promise? This was stated by ANC Sr Vice President Mr Muzzafar Shah while reacting on the launch of the Good Governance document by  Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday.
According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), reads, Mr Home Minister, please note that you are heading a Government in J&K that has lost complete touch with the people on the ground with the gap widest since 1947. The erratic power supply, water management crisis, shortage of drinking water, pot holed service roads, largest unemployment of 21.6% of its youth with the numbers standing at a chilling 1.5 million present a totally different scenario than what is being showcased, the ANC Sr VP said.
Mr Muzzafar Shah asked from the Home Minister to identify the 12,500 Cr investment with its terms & conditions signed by the JK Govt & pinpoint the other 50,000 Cr investment coming in & on what basis. The sale of land to outsiders in the name of investment is unacceptable to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, more-so, when demolition of our Guggar & Bakarwal brethren is taking place unabated in the Jammu region under gross violation of the Constitution of the country, he said.
The Govt of India that promised 2Cr jobs to the youth on a yearly basis should not be making false promises of providing 5 Lac jobs to the youth of J&K as stated in the good governance document. Who are the beneficiaries of the 25,000 jobs given under JKSSB recruitment exams,  the youth of J&K are asking from you ?
Commenting on the Home Minister’s observation that the number of assembly seats in the Jammu region will increase from 37 to 43 and that in Kashmir from 46 to 47, Mr Muzzafar Shah questioned the Delimitation Commission of turning a blind eye on the rights of 2.5 Million Kashmiris living in the four provinces of Pakistan after their displacement since the 1947 tragedy. What about their protection as guaranteed within our Constitution ?

The ANC Sr VP further stated that it is time that the BJP leadership & the Central Govt realise that people of Jammu, is Kashmir & Ladakh irrespective of region & religion have overwhelmingly rejected the decision of 5 th August 2019. They are looking forward to restoration of Article 370 & 35A  & unification of the State as of 4 th August 2019.(KNS
