Srinagar May, 18 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole on wednesday said that all the Kashmiri Pandit employees will be posted close to towns and District headquarters to avoid insecure areas and ensure sense of security. 
 
Talking to reporters, P K Pole who was accompanied by Director health services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad and Rotary Club head Dr Rajiv Pradhan said that he held meeting with department heads and asked them that the positioning of Kashmiri Pandit employees should be given near towns and district headquarters to avoid insecure areas and ensure a sense of security for Kashmiri Pandits.
 
Replying a question over cause of fire incident at traffic headquarters srinagar, Pole said that the roofs here are usually made of wood which catches fire easily."Fire and emergency Department will conduct fire audit of all major govt offices and will available fire extinguishers to prevent such incidents in future", he said.
 
Pole also said that the magisterial enquiry is underway in case of two civilians of pulwama and if the slain duo found innocent, govt will provide job to next of kin of the both civilians under SRO 43.
 
Speaking on mega health camp conducted by Rotary International in collaboration with health department Pole said that it was the first ever mega health camp conducted in Kashmir by the rotary international.
 
"Today I am not here to break some sensitive news. Sometimes there positive developments which need to be shared with people. This presser was organised to highlight the mega health camp organised by the rotary international in various districts of Kashmir for last eight days", he said. 
 
He also said that hundreds of patients were screened and operated upon by the spcialist doctors from rotary international with the assistance of local doctors and added that the health camp on the same lines will be organised in South Kashmir in coming days.
 
Dr Rajiv Pradhan, Rotary International Chief informed the reporters during the presser that 2120 surgeries were conducted during the health camp till date.
 
"The surgeries included many major procedures as well. Rotary international keeps on organising such camps and in this mega camp all the backlog was cleared," he said. 
 
He further said that they have been provided two operation theaters in Ganderbal, four in Sopore , three in Kupwara and four at government medical college Baramulla for conducting various surgical procedures.
 
"We have a total of 14 theaters available. Local doctors have been very cooperative and worked in close coordination with our doctors," Dr Rajiv said. 
 
Rotary international is operating in over 100 countries across the world and has played a major role in eradication of Polio in many countries.
 
He said that the camp has been extended upto 2 June on the request of the Leiutenant governor.
 
"We are planning to organize the smiliar health camp in South Kashmir very soon," he added.(KNS)
