Govt orders closure of Stationary & Office Supplies Department in J&K

Srinagar, June 27 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday ordered winding up of Department of Stationery & Office Supplies in the Union Territory.

 
According to an order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), government accorded sanction for closure of Department of Stationery and Office Supplies. 
 
The order stated that the employees of the winded-up department shall be deployed to the government departments as per need and shall be governed by their existing rules and regulations till their retirement from service.
 
“All fixed and movable assets of the winded-up department at Jammu/Kashmir shall be utilized by other government departments depending upon their requirement,” it said, 
 
It further reads that the liabilities, if any, pending against the department, shall be referred to ARI & Trainings Department for clearance of government accounts after thorough Verification.
 
“The official records shall be handed over to the ARI & Trainings Department for future correspondence and record,” it said. (KNS)
