Ghulam Hassan Mir expresses concern over less number of Anganwadi Centers in J&K

JAMMU, December 03 (KNS) : Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hussan Mir today expressed serious concern over the lesser number of Anganwadi Centers of Social Welfare Department in Jammu and Kashmir for the empowerment of women and children.


Mir raised this demand while meeting a delegation of women at the Apni Party Office in Gandhi Nagar in Jammu District. The delegation was led by senior women wing leader, Apni Party, Pavneet Kour.

The deputation also demanded that the Social Welfare Department should increase the number of centers for the empowerment of the women in areas wherever they are required.

These distressed women were worried about the increasing electricity bills, long unscheduled power cuts and price rise of the essential commodities.

These women were also not getting old age pension for which they appealed to the Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir.

On hearing them, Ghulam Hassan Mir assured that he would raise their voice and concern before the concerned authorities for redressal of the issues. On this occasion, Vice President Choudhary Zulfkar Ali, Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh, Additional General Secretary Arun Chibber, Provincial President Legal Cell, Vikram Rathore, Provincial Secretary, Legal Wing, Shrishtra Koul and others were present.(KNS
