Ghulam Hassan Mir appeals Govt to hold written test of JKP’s Border Battalion aspirants

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 10:(KNS)  Extending support to the aspirants of J&K Police’s Border Battalions, Apni Party, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir urged the Govt to complete the selection process of two Border Battalions by holding written tests without further delay as the youth who had appeared in the tests are becoming over aged.

In a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mir said that the aspirants are worried about their future as the selection process is delayed and no dates for written tests were announced in the last three years.

He also condemned the use of force against the peaceful protesters in Jammu who demanded holding of written tests for the approximate 16000 aspirants who have passed physical entrance test.

“There is resentment among the aspirants following the re-notification of the posts and redefining of age criteria in fresh notification of January 11, 2022 despite holding selection process as per first notification of March 09, 2019 which had advertised 2700 vacancies for constables in J&K Border Battalion for the youth living within 10 kms. The candidates from 10 border districts filled the application forms for the vacancies. However, the said selection process for the advertised vacant posts is yet to be completed,” he said.

He said that “The demands of the aspirants should be considered and a decision to hold a written test taken to complete the selection process.”(KNS
