Jammu, Dec 11 (KNS): Senior Congress leader and former JKPCC chief G A Mir was on Sunday appointed as coordinator for Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra as it nears to reach Jammu and Kashmir. 

The decision to appoint G A Mir as coordinator for J&K-leg of Bharat Jodo Yatra was taken during a high level meeting of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee chaired by AICC J&K Incharge Rajni Patil in Jammu.

The meeting also discussed the measures to be taken to make it the Yatra successful.

“Mir will look after the preparations, operations and other necessary measures that are to be taken to make the Yatra successful in J&K,” said a party handout.

It said the meeting also appointed two co-coordinators from Jammu as well as Kashmir. (KNS)
