Srinagar, Jan 12 (KNS): Former Minister and senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference Abdul Gani Vakil today lambasted at the LG administration for targetting sub minorities in Jammu and Kashmir & said that Modi led Government is also bent upon to ruin the economy of people of Jammu & Kashmir by importing iranian apples & at the same time is witch hunting schedule tribes by destroying & dispossessing them from there houses illegally and unconstitutionally where they had been residing for last more than 70 years.

In a statement issued to KNS, Vakil said on one side the Govt is planing to empower the schedule tribes and Schedule castes through different electoral process and programs but on the other side continues to witch hunt them on different pretexts.

Vakil said the recent demolition drive against gujjars in jammu is reflection of Governments sustained trageting of minorities, not only this they are also bent upon to destroy people of Jammu and Kashmir ecnomically when they allowed import of iranian apple in the country & there by aiming at ruining the fruit industry & depriving thousands of people from livelihood, getting from said industry. Similarly the tourism industry is also at the verge of collapse Vakil added.

He asked what the centre Govt and UT Govt is doing. Don’t they want to win over hearts of people by addressing there miseries but it is unfortunate that the Govt is adding to the miseries rather to address them.

Vakil stressed on the Govt to stop witch hunting Gujjars & Bakerwals & demanded immediate ban on import of iranian apple to save fruit industry. (KNS)
