Free medical camp examines 200 patients Bandipora’s Gundpora

Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNS): A free medical camp organised by Wajahat Raina, North Kashmir incharge of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation and AGS Group of Hospitals, saw around 200 patients being examined by a team of doctors in north Kashmir on Sunday.

The camp provided consultations across multiple specialties, with doctors screening patients for various ailments and prescribing treatment, officials associated with the event said.

They said that several patients identified during the camp would also undergo surgeries free of cost at associated hospitals in the coming weeks.

Wajahat Raina said the initiative aimed to improve access to healthcare for people in remote areas. “Such camps are necessary to ensure that quality medical care reaches those who cannot afford it. We will continue to organise similar programmes in the future,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Patients who attended the camp expressed appreciation for the services provided.

“I have been suffering from a chronic problem for months but could not afford proper consultation. Today I received treatment and guidance free of cost,” said one of the beneficiaries.

Another patient said the camp helped people who otherwise struggle to access healthcare facilities. “Doctors examined us carefully and explained our conditions. It is a big relief for poor families like ours,” the patient said.

Organisers said the camp witnessed significant participation from nearby areas and reiterated their commitment to conducting more such outreach programmes.(KNS).
