Srinagar December 05 (KNS): Foundation World School in collaboration with Mind Meadow the most trusted name in the field of child development and mental health under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Imran Noorani a renowned psychologist, authority in autism and Neurodevelopmental disorders inaugurated Mind Meadow Centre of Excellence for Child Development & Mental Health at their Humhama campus on 5th December 2022.
With an objective to provide multidisciplinary intervention services for children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders and mental health concerns and with specific learning needs, the aim is to develop these learning centers with state of art facilities in best possible manner.
Dr. Imran Noorani, is the Founder & Director-Mind Meadow-Centre of Excellence for Child Development & Mental Health. He is the Consultant Chief Psychologist at Child Development Clinic (Center for Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics). He is Assistant Professor at Ganga Ram Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi. He is the first Kashmiri to be approved as Faculty for the IAP Fellowship in North India in Neuro-developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics.
He is considered authority in autism in India & has catered to more than a lakh clients with neurodevelopmental & behavioral disorders. He has a chain of 12 clinics in Delhi with a workforce of more than 150 people including a developmental pediatrician, psychiatrist, neurologist and other allied professionals and they are intending to expand pan India in coming months.
Dr. Imran Noorani on the occasion stressed on the fact that multidisciplinary intervention at early stage are very important so as to get the correct assessment done in timely manner. Developmental interventions are crucial to well being of these children.He has roped in qualified and experienced allied professionals to cater to these services here.
“Since the opening we have screened more than 50 children and there are lot more to be dealt in future. This is the first of its kind in Kashmir, and we are looking forward to it. It took us 5 years to culminate this idea into reality. Our goal is to reach out to people, provide quality services to every child irrespective of the social class they belong to. This is the start and we are making the process inclusive rather than integrated. Also poor people would be provided services for free,” said Dr. Noorani.
The occasion was graced by some of the renowned doctors of the Kashmir valley including Dr. Mushtaq Magroob, Dr. GQ Khan, Dr. A.R Nasti, Dr. Dilshada, Dr. Farida Ashai, Dr. Hamid-ullah Wani among others.(KNS)
