Srinagar, Sep 05(KNS): Former Rajya Sabha member Mir Mohmmad Fayaz on Tuesday announced his quit from politics, citing some family commitments.

Mir in a tweet said, "To almost people I would like to inform that due to some family commI have decided to keep myself away from active political engagements. Thankful to all my people for their support".

Notably Mir earlier was associated with Mehbooba Mufti led PDP while as he later switched to People's Conference led by Sajad Lone.(KNS)
