Srinagar, August 10 (KNS): The Group of Concerned Citizens, J& K ( GCC) has expressed deep sorrow at the passing away of Jenab Mohammad Akbar Khan, former IAS officer and former Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
In a statement issued to KNS, Chairman, GCC, Mohammad Shafi Pandit, described late Mohammad Akbar Khan as a seasoned and knowledgeable officer whose contribution as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and Deputy Commissioner to the working of the Revenue Deptt will be remembered for a long time.
He further stated that Khan was always helpful to the public and worked hard for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir and particularly for the people of Kashmir where he remained posted for most part of his career.
The members of the GCC conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayers for magfirat and Jannat ul firdous for the departed soul.(KNS)
