Srinagar, July 17 (KNS): Former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Mohammad Imran on Sunday wrote that corruption has reached its peak on his official Twitter handle

In his tweet, Imran hinted towards a huge amount of bribe taken by a certain influential person without naming him.

"Corrupt people have taken bribe in their own bank accounts. I have sent proofs to Mr. Anand Jain Director, J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau and I am hopeful atleast he and his department will act swiftly against corrupt," the tweet read.

Imran mentioned that it was crystal clear to nab, book and jail the corrupt culprits & in order to stop the corruption.

"I am sure Adarniya Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, will also intervene as he and his Govt. has zero tolerance for corruption," the tweet concluded.

The tweet has created ripples among the social and political circles with people speculating about the person behind these allegations and have even demanded his name to be brought in public circles so that necessary action will be taken against those involved.

Though corruption rates have gone considerable lower than preceding years but analysts still say that people in Jammu and Kashmir are among the worst sufferers of corruption.(KNS)
