RAMBAN, JANUARY 7 (KNS) : A team of Forest Division, Batote today seized a vehicle loaded with illegal Willow cleft bats here at Forest Check Post Nashri.
On specific information, a Naka was laid by the team headed by Range Officer, Vijay Khosla under the close supervision of the Divisional Forest Officer, Kuldeep Singh.
The intercepted a Truck bearing registration No: JK03H-0769 loaded with illegal Willow cleft bats, which was seized and booked under the provision of section 4 (1), (2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Willow (Prohibition on export and movement) Act, 2000.
The confiscation proceedings against the vehicle were also initiated under Indian Forest Act, 1927. The whole operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle Doda, Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh, (KNS).
